Shakespeare in New York City

My teacher for my class Shakespeare through Performance thought that she would give us a treat for putting up with her craziness for a semester. She decided to take us on a trip to New York City to see a broadway play for 3 days [May 26th-28th]. She gave us a list of plays that were happening during the 3 days we were there. I had wanted to see RENT, Hairspray or Spamalot but everyone else wanted to see Avenue Q. So when the day (May 26th) finally came, 9 students, 2 teachers and a daughter (my teacher's) and the daughter's boyfriend went on a bus to Connecticut. It was almost a 3 hour bus ride and then we took an hour train ride into Grand Central Station. Let me tell you that was the worst train ride I have ever been on! Some jerk-ass kept yelling at me! We stayed in a youth hostel. Suckiess room I've ever stayed in. That night (26th) we went to Time Square since we decided to see the play on the first night. OMG Time Square was so beautiful. I know you're saying to yourself that there's nothing beautiful about Time Square, but to me I love all of the lights and sounds and all the stores and sights to see. For supper, we ate at Planet Hollywood!! Omg, they have one of the best bbq pulled pork I have ever eaten! I love that place sooooo...MUCH! Plus I have never been there before. That place would of been even better if the Jonas Brothers had been, but it was still awesome! Then we went to go to see Avenue Q. If you have never heard of it, it's about puppets living co-habitily with humans. And I WOULD NOT take little kids to go see it. It's like rated R! So once that got over with, we got to shop for about an hour. I didn't really buy anything, because I wanted to save my money. I don't even remember if I bought anything in Time Square or not. One reason is, is because it was after 10pm and the stupid MTV store wasn't even open. GAY! So the next day, we went to Rockafella Plaza and a studio tour of NBC. OMG, I got to sit in a seat for SNL and Conan O'Brien. Okay, so there were no celebs there, but it was still wicked cool!!! They had a little store and I bought my daddy a Jay Leno mug and he loved it because it's the same mug that Jay and his guests use! I bought some other things but I was wicked bummed that I didn't enough money for a Heroes tee-shirt =[. Then my classmates went up to like the 79th floor of the building but I stayed outside with my best friend Cori becuase she was afraid of heights. So we decided to eat ice cream the outside bar/restaurant. Then we went to Metropolitan Musuem of Art. Omg, that place was so beautiful! We ate lunch there. I loved the bleu cheese that came with my salad. Best bleu cheese I have ever eaten! I don't remember what we did after that. But I do remember eating supper in Chinatown and then shopping. Dude, the restaurant we ate at was gross! They had like nothing for me to choose from. Thank god Adri had orange chicken that was wicked good and that she let me eat like half of it. Even the bathrooms were wicked creepy! There wasn't much to buy from the street venders. One creepy guy called me beautiful just to get me to buy something from him. HELL NO! Two of my classmates bought a shirt that said "Fuck you, you fucking fuck!" After that we got back on the subway [we rode that thing soo many times!] and we went on a ferry to Staten Island. Thank god my teacher told us about it so I could take my motion sickness medicine. The only gay part of the ride was that we had to get off the ferry, step on Staten Island for like a minute and get back on the same goddamn boat! How stupid is that? We could of stayed on the ferry in the first place. Oh well. I was just happy that I didn't get sick! Oh ya I almost forgot to tell you that two of my classmates bought a shirt that said "Fuck you, you fucking fuck!" in Chinatown. So my bff and Adri were saying many different ways to use the word fuck. It was hilarious! I've never used fuck that many times. Haha. So the next day we decided to shop on 5th Avenue instead of seeing where the Twin Towers once stood. Didn't buy much. But I loved looking in the stores. Especially Tiffany's. They had beautiful jeweled crowns on display. We ate lunch at Grand Central Station before we had to get on the train. I loved their pizza there. And that's just about it. Well what I can remember anyway. It's very hard to remember everything that happened 3 months ago. It's a very good thing that I took pictures!
